Silvere Tovignan

Dr. Silvere TOVIGNAN, as socio-economist, has twenty years’ experience in participating in agricultural development projects conception, monitoring and evaluation funded by various donors agency such as: SECO, SDC, KFW, FTA, GIZ and UNIDO. He has been involved in the evaluation of various projects as team leader or associate team member where he performed different roles, including: literature review, data collection tools design, data collection, data analysis and reporting.

The projects he was involved with range from general agricultural sector and food security projects to gender equity and social justice initiatives. In relation to cotton, he gave his expertise (through workshops, trainings and studies) to the conception, the implementation and the monitoring and evaluation of most of sustainable cotton concepts that took place in Africa such as: organic cotton, fairtrade cotton, Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and Cotton made in Africa (CmiA).
