Marzia Lanfranchi

Marzia Lanfranchi, co-founder of Cotton Diaries and sustainability consultant, operates at the intersection of fashion and agriculture, specializing in cotton. Her unique perspective stems from a dual educational background in fashion and textiles design, as well as organic agriculture and agroecology.

With a wealth of experience in the fashion sector — having worked with luxury brands, textile factories, sustainability NGOs, and cotton farmers from North to South — she’s well-versed in the critical sustainability challenges facing the industry today, from seed to shelf. In 2017, she co-founded Cotton Diaries, a global community and storytelling platform committed to fostering just and resilient cotton systems.

Marzia's central mission is to serve as a bridge and solutions-facilitator, addressing the most pressing environmental and social challenges in farming communities and rural landscapes. Through her work, she aims to support on-the-ground environmental and social justice movements and solutions, building more meaningful fashion-farming systems.
